Blog: February 23. What a great week!

I’ve been looking forward to riding the new Triumph Tiger 800 for a long time, and this last week I got to give it a run. I’ve always been a big fan of the 800, and since I’ve been chatting to the Triumph people I’ve become a huge fan of the company as well. On top of that, Marty laid out the route for the release ride, and it felt good to sit there and…

Ultralight preride

Meg has been riding with Pottsy, and they took in some of the Ultralight Adventure loop. Here’s how Meg saw the day… Pottsy suggested a short ride last Sunday. Taking in a bit of the Ultralight loop to get my confidence up, a new fishing hole he thought we should try out and some nice leafy tracks. “A nice quick one” he said. “We’ll be back by lunch” he said. “There’s just one little section…

Marty’s latest story

Bello to Batemans Bay Seeing I lost all my riders today there’s no ride report. Here’s a tale from time long past. A fictional story A long, long time ago in a valley not far from here, a group of mad-keen dirtbike riders decided it would be a good idea to ride enduro bikes to Batemans Bay. Blog: February 16. Triumph

Good morning everyone. It’s Monday morning, so I’m only just blogging on time. I had a small accident last week and cut my finger. What I’m very happy to report though, is a huge success for Marty – and me too, I suppose – in…

The Ultralight Adventure

Pottsy writes… “How does meeting at 7.30am at the Bailey Centre servo,  opposite the showground, sound to everyone? We’ll  leave at 8.00am. “I’ve been reliably informed there is great coffee there so that should keep a few happy. “The longest distance between fuel stops will be about 130km, so that will allow most standard fuel tanks to make the distance. “I think the ultralight class could go up to 400 cc capacity.  That will allow…

Blog: February 9. Been riding the new Triumph 800XCX…a little bit.

Before I tell you about the Triumph, I have to tell you all about meeting Toby Price again. I asked for an interview for work, and, as always, Toby was ready and willing to do anything he could to be helpful. He asked where we should meet, and I said the Macca’s south of Coffs. He said, “The one where you pushed in front of me that day? I thought was going to have to…

Blog: February 2. Ultralight Adventure ride confirmed.

The date for Pottsy’s Ultralight Adventure is confirmed at March 1. If you have a tiddler – 250cc or thereabouts – and want to ride with a batch of other small bikes, Pottsy has a loop in mind, and it’ll be designed with 250s in mind. If it’s a Pottsy loop, you can be guaranteed it’ll be excellent riding. You can also be fairly sure there’ll be a heap of laughs and good fun going…
