Blog: August 22. An excellent Sunday

It’s Monday morning, so I’m still technically not late with the blog. Yesterday I met up with a few riders to do some time on the new HARD kits Husky 710 for work. It’s the Husqvarna 701 Enduro with a rally kit, designed by Darren ‘Big Dog’ Wilson, and it’s a screamer. The Husky 701 is a fabulous bike which I fell for the instant I started riding it, but the 710 kit gives it…

Blog: August 15. Caught in the Web.

Hi everyone, It’s a sunny Sunday arvo. I’ve done no riding again this week. Work is fast approaching the time where I go flat out for a couple of weeks and don’t have time for anything else. Next week I get to ride the Husky 710 – the HARD Kits version of the Husky 701 Enduro. I thought the 701 was an exceptional bike stock, and the HARD Kits version of the KTM690 was awesome,…

I posted Dave Ramsay’s ride report, so that’ll give you something to read. It looks like he put together another great ride. Meanwhile, Craig Murcott and Lean Dean dropped in this arvo. They’d been out covering quite a bit of ground, Dean…

Dave Ramsay’s Fencer’s run report

22 degrees on a glorious clear morning saw a tight little crew of 11 head out for some magnificent tracks, trails and twisty tar. Conditions were near perfect with little or no dust as we rode grassy farm tracks to forest roads up onto Cambridge Plateau where a howling crosswind required constant weight adjustment to stay upright. Back into the forest the odd patch of damp, slippery, red clay, along with a plethora of fresh…

Blog: August 1. Missed one. Sorry.

It’s Monday arvo and I’m just back from Broken Hill. I spent the last 11 days riding the BMW GS Safari Enduro through the Flinders in SA, and I because I was on a bike the whole time I didn’t take a laptop. So there was no blog last week. I think it’s the first one I’ve ever missed. Never mind, here I am, and after all that riding I should have a few stories…
