A ride report from Cousin Matthew

Hi fellow dualsport followers!

Here’s a couple of photos from our 460km loop today.

Rod on his new Red Bull Kato (its second outing) and a random we met along the way who introduced himself as a trials-bike rider, and me on the trusty Old Yella DR.

We went Beenleigh and return via Beaudesert, Rathdowney, past the dam out onto White Swamp Road with a couple sneaky little dirt loops along the way. Then across to the Condamine puddles (and that’s all they were today).

We bypassed Killarney and headed for Legume, then made a right turn, then left onto Maryland Road. A short stop to check out Cullendore campground, then a motocross through the Maryland National Park.

Several gates later we arrived at The Summit for lunch and fuel.

The return trip followed as much of the dirt as possible and some of the tracks we did earlier in reverse, then we slabbed it back home via Rathy and Beaudesert.

All in all it was a great day with fantastic weather and riding company.

This is what it’s all about.

Regards
Matt Foster
