None of my week involved riding, it was just sitting at my desk with throttle cracked wide open. It may sound a sad story, but don’t forget over past few weeks I’ve ridden the new BMWs in the Victoria and the new KTMs in the NSW Blue Mountains. I haven’t really a lot to complain about.
And I wasn’t complaining. I just sayin’.
I had crap week with computers that slowed everything up like crazy. As much as I love working from home, not having an IT department to call on can be a pest when these things go wrong. I’ve downloaded gigabytes of new software – seriously. It was literally gigabytes – purchased some new hardware, spent hours twiddling my thumbs waiting for bits and pieces to download and gone through the nauseating process of establishing to the IT company I’m a real mug person who’s having a shit time with its product, not some kind of virus trying to be nasty.
Of course, once I discovered one Mac needed that attention I checked the others. I wish I hadn’t. They all needed the same attention. I have four Macs, so it made for a long week.
But that’s in the past! I’m looking straight down the barrel of the Suzuki V-Strom release next week in Cairns and Cape Tribulation, then I pick up a Kawasaki Versys-X 300, and very shortly after that a Husky 701 Enduro, A Ducati Multistrada 950 and possibly an SWM Super Dual. In the middle of all that somewhere I’m going to try and head over to the KLR Riders Rally in June, and there’s the possibility of a run on a new Royal Enfield Himalayan.
So a week at my desk isn’t such a bad break.
I’ll have some pics and info from the Suzuki ride next week.
