After two years of work, Marty H has done it. The discs are in production and you can buy one now. By the time we figure out how to process the payments and so forth, it’ll be a finished product and on its way to your letterbox.
Every trail and road has been ridden, reridden and then ridden again. The GPX files have been loaded on a dozen different GPSs and trialled by heaps of different riders, corrected, loaded again and ridden again. The route sheets have had the same treatment. The art’s been done and it’s all good to go.
I have to say I’m glowing with pride for Marty’s achievement. It’s not like he’s a big publishing company with strong buying power and lots of staff. He’s done it all on his own, and he can hold his head up high for a huge, successful effort, and a product he can boast about in any company.
The disc gives 2000km of riding around this fabulous area, a few good yarns, some great advice, and if you don’t make use of it, you’re a mug.
If you want a copy e-mail me and I’ll put you in touch with Marty. There’s some talk of being able to buy it through this site, and I’m happy for that. We’ll see what happens. Otherwise, ask for it at your local bike shop.
Here’s a taste of what you can expect…
